Bird Flu Hits Bilaspur Chhattisgarh India: Over 25,000 Birds Culled, 8 Poultry Farms Sealed
Bilaspur is on high alert after the confirmation of bird flu (Avian Influenza) in the city. In an immediate response, authorities have culled over 25,000 birds to prevent the spread of the virus. Eight poultry farms in the affected areas have also been sealed as a precautionary measure.
Police and administrative officials have placed the impacted zones under strict surveillance. Local shops and markets in these areas have been temporarily closed to contain the outbreak.
Officials from the Animal Husbandry Department stated that these actions were necessary to control the infection and ensure public safety. Residents have been urged to avoid visiting affected areas and to report any sick or suspicious-looking birds immediately.
The Health Department has also issued warnings that bird flu can potentially spread to humans, emphasizing the importance of following hygiene and safety protocols.
In addition, sanitation drives are underway in the affected areas, and local communities are being informed about vaccination and preventive measures to curb the outbreak.
